The Compliance Crosswalk, 2026 Edition
Mapped to 42 CFR Part 483, Subpart B, and Appendix PP of the State Operations Manual, as revised effective April 28, 2025. Guide Path maps 130 of the 199 current F-Tags, 65.3%. On September 8, 2026, CMS launches the Risk-Based Survey (RBS) nationwide (Memorandum QSO-26-14-NH, July 16, 2026). Qualification is earned through performance, not requested.
What’s New in the 2026 Edition
The 2026 Edition reflects CMS’s biggest update to Appendix PP in years, including two new tags from the transfer-and-discharge consolidation (F627, F628), revised guidance on chemical restraints and psychotropic medications, and a relocated Facility Assessment requirement (§483.71).
