Family Testimonials for the Resident and Family Insights Survey
What was your overall impression of the Resident and Family Insights Survey? “I already trust the community, and by using this survey it increases it. I think by using the survey they are proactive in knowing my family and establishing our needs”. – Son of Resident
What questions on the survey do you feel were most relevant to understanding your thoughts and concerns about your mom’s transition? “The spiritual and emotional piece is really good. That’s important to us. It was a part of her purpose. So, I’m glad she’s in an environment where Christianity and spirituality is at the center of what they do. And the aging process. I think, you know. Really being educated on what to expect, as mom starts to age, she has dementia. So, for me, that’s new. So, I have a heightened sense of awareness when something happens, or when I feel like something is off, and so helping me to understand that.” – Daughter of Resident
What could we do to assist new residents and families in completing the survey so that we can gain deeper insights into their expectations and needs? “By reinforcing how important the survey is. It makes sure everybody’s on the same page. It’s their opportunity to voice their opinion and to establish their expectations.” – Daughter of Resident
From your point of view, does the community help build trust by offering a survey like this? “Yes, I think so! Having a survey by a third party helps you identify areas that can be improved or areas of concern. I think it is relevant to have a survey. If the community looks at the survey, applies the knowledge learned, and makes changes, then it is sure to help everyone.” – Daughter of Resident

Guide Path promises to be a market differentiator in senior living education and training with its founding principles and a modern platform for residential care.
As a nursing home medical director and attending physician for the last three decades, I am excited about this new standard in our care setting. This system elevates the human aspects of person-centered care and palliative care, concepts that are so desperately needed these days.
Whether you experience the senior living healthcare system as a staff member,
a resident, or a family member, each person’s perspective is unique to their life experience and current circumstances. There can be intense emotions for everyone, especially at a time when there are extraordinary societal pressures impacting our daily lives. Truly understanding what matters to each person is more than just asking a few questions. That’s what Guide Path does differently.
